Lessons learned from the biggest data breach - Yahoo!

First in 2013, then in 2014 & Again in 2016 - Yahoo! suffered the biggest data breach after losing the data of billion people.

In the case study that I’ll present - I’ll demystify:

  • Why Yahoo! was the target?
  • How often Yahoo! was attacked which led to a data breach?
  • Who were the Yahoo! hackers?
  • How was the data stolen?
  • How did Yahoo respond?
  • Lessons learned from the Yahoo! attack?

These shall remain the sub-headings of my talk. When explaining, I shall cover how companies in 2021 see similar vulnerabilities (in general, without naming), and therefore, what are the recommended developer and security precautions that businesses should adopt.
