Making your Vue app accessible for everyone

Submitted Aug 4, 2019

Talking about building apps for everyone out there in the world. Know your user, and make your app to accomodate every user that can use your app.

In current time where everyone has internet, or is getting added to the net, it becomes essential that we make sure people with various disabilities can use the product without any difficulties, while we are building it. I’ll be presenting a talk on ways to make sure the components we build are all inclusive and easy to use by every demographic out there, by taking care of one important, but often overlooked aspect of web, web-accessibility or a11y.

Outline

  • What is accessibility and why we need it.
  • Different types of disabilities and users.
  • Components of web accessibility.
  • Creating accessible Vue components.
  • Auditing your app’s accessibility.
  • Conclusion.

Speaker bio
