The Fifth Elephant 2025 Annual Conference, Bangalore | 18 and 19 July 2025

The Fifth Elephant isn’t just a conference. It is a community of builders, practitioners, and tinkerers working to shape better futures with AI, data, and infrastructure. Everyone here is deeply invested in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible - ethically, practically, and with purpose.

Why do people love The Fifth Elephant?

This is the conference where I found the depth of talks to be quite good; the talks were not shallow. This is a welcome change to a lot of other startup-ish kinds of conferences where the focus is on business aspects. So I like that the focus is on the technical aspects and nobody shirks away from going into the deep nerdy detail which is what makes it so good.
Paras Chopra, Founder and Chairman at Wingify

I met a lot of new people; I had the opportunity to reconnect with a lot of old friends. The crowd has been great at The Fifth Elephant conference.
Karthik Shashidhar, Co-founder at Babbage Insight

There were some great sessions like using LLM-based compilers, on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), how you think about data licenses - bunch of great talks and of course, wonderful people I have met. This has been fun.
Vikram Srinivasan, founder at Needl.ai; GenAI and LLM track editor at Fifthel 2024

What sets The Fifth Elephant apart?

  1. Talks by hands-on practitioners: Sessions are delivered by those who’ve built systems, deployed models, debugged failures, and iterated in production.
  2. Curated tracks with practical takeaways: Topics are chosen by practitioners and domain experts for their relevance. Speakers go through dry runs to ensure audiences leave with insights they can apply.
  3. No fluff: We value depth, specificity, and honesty. No vendor pitches. No vague futurism.
  4. A space for hard questions: We welcome tough conversations around limitations, risks, and trade-offs in real-world systems via round tables and Birds of Feather (BOF) sessions.
  5. Spontaneity and collaboration: Birds of a Feather (BOF) sessions, lightning talks, demos, and networking spark unexpected connections and ideas.

Tracks and topics at The Fifth Elephant 2025

  1. 🧱 Data & ML infrastructure: If you’ve ever woken up in a cold sweat thinking about broken pipelines or surprise cloud bills, this track is for you. Curated by Sandeep Joshi and Pramod Biligiri, it’s all about the unsung heroes who keep the AI party running behind the scenes. Think duct tape, distributed systems, and dashboards that (finally) load under 5 seconds.
  2. ⚙️ Applied AI Engineering - with focus on Agentic AI: brought to you by Vedang Manerikar and Harshad Saykhedkar, this track is where things get weird - in the best way. We’re talking agents that plan, reason, and maybe question your life choices. If you’re building LLM-based workflows that act like interns (but with less coffee), or deploying RAG systems with more structure than your meetings, you’re in the right place.
  3. 👁️ Visual AI: Curated by Sidharth Ramachandran, this track is for those building machines that see, generate, and occasionally hallucinate in high-def. From photogrammetry pros to meme-generating geniuses, if your work involves pixels, you belong here. Bonus points if you’ve ever said “enhance!” non-ironically.

Who should attend?

The Fifth Elephant brings together professionals working across the data and AI stack:

  1. Data engineers and infrastructure architects designing scalable systems
  2. ML and AI engineers deploying models in production
  3. Researchers pushing the boundaries of what’s possible
  4. Product and engineering leaders making critical architectural decisions
  5. Founders and CTOs building AI-native products
  6. Developers and builders exploring tools, frameworks, and agentic workflows
  7. Knowledge workers leveraging latest AI-based tools to be able to do new things and be far more productive and effective

Whether you’re deep into deploying agent-based systems, managing a streaming data pipeline, optimizing real-time vision models, or just getting started—there’s something here for you.
