Developing Augmented Reality Android Application

Outline

In todays digital world, Augmented Reality is one of those buzz word that people have heard but they don’t know how to work/develop on it. This talk will serve as starting point for developing great AR application different from ~867563 applications available in AppStore , This talk will be divided in two parts:

i. Warming Up:

In this section , I will provide brief introduction on Unity3d and Vuforia SDK. It will be followed by “how to set up development environment”

ii. Develop AR application

This section will be the crux of the talk. I will give small tutorial on how to get started for developing AR Android application by developing one AR application. It will be followed by demonstration of really cool AR applications.

Speaker bio

I am an Electronics Engineer from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I have experience on Open Source Computer Vision (OpenCV) and worked on Kinect in open source environment. I write articles for “Linux For You”, an open-source magazine. My area of interest includes Open Source Computer Vision , Arduino ,Raspberry Pi , Human Computer Interaction , Python , Android , Augmented Reality , HTML 5. I spoke at “Electronics Design Engineer Conference” and “Electronics Rocks’12” conference along with founder of “Raspberry Pi”.
