This talk will explore how we solved Circular dependency problems in the Architecture of Alert and Incident management platforms in Jira Service management product at Atlassian. The motivation is to build a highly available self-contained system that can serve the needs of both customers and internal engineers and can be available for mission critical operations like Alert and Incident management even when other core products/platforms are down. This is a journey for most Observability and Monitoring systems to use their own product for self-monitoring and we will explore architecture and reliability choices that helped us in Dogfooding Alert AI and Incident AI features
