Securing Kubernetes secrets with Vault

Kubernetes is a popular container orchestration platform, and there is a need for having a robust secret-management system to serve the diverse needs of multiple applications it manages. This session is to demonstrate how to run HashiCorp Vault on Kubernetes and use Vault to store and retrieve secrets for applications running on Kubernetes.

In this session, i would like to present a) How Kubernetes stores its secrets
b) the need of a secret management system in Kubernetes
c) How Hashicorp vault can help in managing the diverse secrets

Speaker bio

I have 10+ years of experience in IT industry. I am working for Thomson Reuters as a lead in cloud and DevOps space. Before joining Thomson Reuters, i was with Cisco and was working on developing large enterprise solutions.

When not working i love to listen to the babbles of my 2 year old daughter, read books and travel places.
