Ensure reliable environments executing Operational Validation test on your production

Submitted Feb 7, 2017

DevOps and Infrastructure as code ae one of the hottest buzzwords in industry today. Infrastructure as code mandates that code that provisions environment should also undergo the same application lifecycle process as that of a business application. In this session, we will first provision a highly available environment on Cloud, deploy an application on top of them and then perform operations validation tests to ensure that the infrastructure is functional and working as expected. Operational validation is an important activity within release pipeline that provides confidence to teams that their production release is reliable and of good quality. Operations validation Tests executes a suite of tests on production environment to check if environment meets the demand of application and there is no drift in its configuration. Operations validation Tests provides appropriate insights on environment and application availability, reliability such that adequate proactive measures can be undertaken like rollback of release, fixing issues with new release etc. to provide high fidelity experience to end customers.
