Create Cross-Platform Native Mobile Games with JavaScript

The talk would focus on how can we build cross-platform native mobile games with JavaScript that are at par with games built natively or by using various other game engines like Unity. We will briefly look into the available options in open source and dive deep into some key examples about the games that have made it big on App Store and Play Store and were built using JavaScript as the main language.

Outline

The talk will be devided into the following sections:

  • Why JavaScript for building mobile games?
  • What are our options?
  • Do the games built with JavaScript are on par with Unity?
  • Positives and Negatives
  • How do i get started ?
  • Let’s see a simple Demo of the game built using Javascript.

Requirements

Its better if attendees have prior experience working with JavaScript and have interest in knowing how to build mobile games.

Speaker bio

Suroor is the founder of Xencov Software and previously was the CTO for US based ThinkU gaming startup. He likes to live on the cutting edge of the technology and has a great passion for writing technical blogs. Regular open-source contributor and also a MongoDB certified developer. He brings tonnes of experience building scalable web applications using Node.js and also massive experience building mobile games for the masses. In free time, he likes to read about latest technologoical trends and innvoations happening around the world.
