Abstract

The talk would focus on how can we build cross-platform native mobile games with JavaScript that are at par with games built natively or by using various other game engines like Unity. We will briefly look into the available options in open source and dive deep into some key examples about the games that have made it big on App Store and Play Store and were built using JavaScript as the main language.

Outline

The talk will be devided into the following sections:

  • Why JavaScript for building mobile games?
  • What are our options?
  • Do the games built with JavaScript are on par with Unity?
  • Positives and Negatives
  • How do i get started ?
  • Let’s see a simple Demo of the game built using Javascript.

Requirements

Its better if attendees have prior experience working with JavaScript and have interest in knowing how to build mobile games.

Hello Suroor, I have moved your proposal to JSFoo Pune, since this is the next edition of JSFoo where we are accepting proposals. You have to submit draft slides and preview video (where you present a two-min pitch on what your talk is about and why it is relevant for the audience at JSFoo). We need these details by 10 October to complete evaluation of your proposal.
