Writing powerful applications using pure JavaScript

Outline

NodeJS is just a server, isn’t it? To create an app, you need full blown framework like Express, Geddy or more recently Yahoo! Mojito.

This session is about creating interactive, powerful, scalable web applications using pure JavaScript - uses NodeJS frameworks on the server + YUI+jQuery on browsers (PhoneGap for mobile portability)

Speaker bio

Gaurav works with Yahoo! India as Principal Engineer, spending most of his time on architecting and building frameworks for modern-day web applications, portable across devices, browsers and form factors.

Prior to joining Yahoo!, he ran his venture into education. He started his career with Adobe working in their R&D team.

He is - “Not a nerd yet”!
