Node.js Patterns and How we build ActiveNode

Submitted Sep 15, 2011

This session is intended as a part in exploring Patterns we found useful in Developing ActiveNode(http://activenode.no.de)(An application monitoring software we build during NodeKnockout), so that you end up with nicely tested Node code.

Outline

Evented Programming is hard, and if not done properly turns up into a spaghetti of callbacks inside callbacks. And any decent sized application becomes a mess.

This is partly talking about How we build Activenode, and patterns we used.
We use coffeescript for development.

Requirements

Interest in Javascript/CoffeeScript and their heads
