Extending the Arduino ADK hardware to incorporate external Inputs

Submitted Nov 6, 2011

Arduino ADK has been a general hardware to begin interacting with the android apps over the phone and it would be good to know how to extend the ADK hardware to be able to extend the hardware ecosystem for the system design.

As a result of having this overview one could possibly complete the loop in the system design. For instance, things that are hard to control today , may be a control system like a physical load cell , elevators, home entertainment could easily be designed if the basics of designing these hardware are understood.

Outline

A demo of presenting a mental model to think about a system and also accomplish it completely by laying out the schematic as well as forming the design files in a standard that ADK could handle could be shown !

Requirements

Enthusiasm to learn the hardware aspects of the ADK

Speaker bio

I am technical evangelist at Tenet Technetronics thinking about bringing on new hardware that are open and easy to use with the Arduinos and it would be a great session for me to share how we at Tenet explore new hardware and also design them and also get them fabricated in India.
