What happens when a small data visualisation team partners with a small environmental newsroom? Drawing from the collaboration between Mongabay India and the Technology for Wildlife Foundation, the talk will highlight how such partnerships can result in creative, high-impact storytelling.
Using real-world story examples, I’ll unpack what made the collaboration successful, the mutual benefits for both organisations, the challenges we encountered along the way, and actionable insights for others looking to build similar cross-sector partnerships. In a time where media, non-profits, and creative teams are increasingly looking to pool expertise, this session offers a practical look at what it takes to make that work.

A case study of a cross-sector partnership that utilised data and visual storytelling.
Tips and strategies for building meaningful collaborations between small teams.
