The Leadership Manifesto : mapping We-Me-Us Journey

Submitted Jan 17, 2016

To leave each participant with reflections on where they are on their leadership journey. We will do this through a manifesto that we have created after speaking to leadership practitioners. This manifesto speaks about three journeys - ME, WE and US and we will be mapping ourselves vis-a-vis these.

Outline

We, at The Blue Ribbon Movement, initiated ‘leadership for tomorrow’ circles across India with leadership practitioners. We explored different questions such as - What will the new leadership look like?, What are the essential elements of leadership that should be preserved? What are the new perspectives, skills and approaches needed for young leaders for tomorrow?
Through these questions and outcomes of these circles, we decided to create our version of manifesto - an A3 size one page document.
I hope to hold a space with the participants on their journeys using this manifesto and exploring how each one of us can move forward.

Speaker bio

Born in Garhmukteswhar (a small village in UP) in a big family and brought up in Mumbai - I have had exposure to various social issues which lead me to found The Blue Ribbon Movement - a social enterprise that provdes leadership education. I have been invloved in conceptualising and executing our grassroot programs which are based on ‘service learning’ model. I have a background of initiating failed start ups (At ideation level), working with corporates, social sector and my family business. That apart, I love travelling and engaging in adventure sports (have cycled down to Goa from Mumbai). As a Global Shaper, I was also selected by World Economic Forum to represent India at the Annual Meeting at Davos in 2014.
