The lockdown as a result of COVID-19 has ushered in a paradigm shift in how people work. How are large-scale distributed systems being managed during this time? Did systems engineers ever need to work in close proximity before this? Does the team being remote lead to new security vulnerabilities and concerns?
To answer these and many more questions, Rootconf alumni and distributed systems engineer at heart, Diptanu Gon Choudhury, talked to us from San Francisco about the new challenges and opportunities for remote teams working on distributed systems. Diptanu currently works at Facebook for AI Applied Research as a software engineer.
Date: Friday, 01 May 2020
Time: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Format: Birds of a Feather (BOF) meeting. Diptanu shared opinions and perspective with 8-10 respondents from SRE and systems engineering backgrounds.
RSVP: This event was free to attend.
