Does serveless architecture help in reducing cloud costs? Turns out speakers at Rootconf’s in-person conference on cloud costs have this and many other interesting stories and nuances to share. The conference will be held at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) on Friday 28 July, followed by monthly meetups. Anand Chitipothu (Pipal Academy) and Raghdip Singh Panesar (Google, ex-Flipkart) have curated the conference and will steer the cloud costs topic at Rootconf.

The Cloud Costs conference is open to Rootconf Members only. On this note, the audience research team at Hasgeek is trying to understand the community better, and what you expect from memberships on <hasgeek.com>. Help Hasgeek by participating in this short survey.

This weekend’s GenerativeAI meetup is houseful. The meetup hosts Kailash Nadh (CTO at Zerodha) and Amod Malviya (Co-founder at Udaan) for a panel discussion on how GenerativeAI will change the work and landscape for engineers. Charu Tak will moderate the discussion. Swiggy is the venue host for the meetup. You can watch the video recording of the panel discussion next week.

On 21 and 22 July, author and speaker Anuj Gupta will conduct a workshop on AI readiness by looking at the three pillars of people, process and technology. At the end of the workshop, participants will be asked to create AI readiness roadmaps/strategy for their organizations, and present these at The Fifth Elephant 2023 conference two weeks later for peer review and feedback.
