Great times: At the Rootconf Open House (Nov 2024)

Great vibes at the Rootconf Open House on Fri, Nov 15th!

Since its inception, Rootconf has been a community-led platform for practitioners to discuss all things systems engineering and infrastructure. However, as participants keep telling us, some of the most memorable conversations at our conferences, outside the conference rooms and in the corridors!

As someone put it (best compliment ever!), our conferences are “where one meets and gets to interact with past friends, and to discover future friends and collaborators”.

So we thought that a pre-event meetup "Rootconf Open House, a WEEK BEFORE the conference (On Friday, Nov 15)!, would be a great way to connect and mingle (without the time pressure of tiny breaks between technical talks).

And we had such a great time!

So what happened?

Here’s a glimpse of the action from the Rootconf Open House that we organised in partnership with @Peak XV Partners! We had a bunch of folks who love to geek out on all things systems engineering, infra and security!

We had so much fun speaking to all 67+ systems engineers who dropped by to join us!

We had founders, CTOs, engineers, engineering managers and security researchers attend the Rootconf Open House. We saw people from all domains - SaaS, product, security, AI & consulting.

We also had folks from organizations such as Flipkart, PhonePe, Setu, Optiowl.cloud, Cashfree, Numberz.ai, Grafana Labs, Clarisights, Thoughtworks, among others.

Guests at the Open House were able to

• Mingle with Rootconf editors, speakers, participants, representatives from sponsoring organizations; and friends of Hasgeek.
• Learn why and how engineers can tell stories about their craft.
• Learn about startups created; startups failed; some wisdom gained (and lost).
