Take the people in the room who have been running networks longer than anyone else. Put them in front of the room. I’ll prepare a list of questions on careers and technology, and everyone gets two minutes to give their answers. Learn from those who’ve been there before!
I’ve done this event at several gatherings, and it’s always turned out well.
For an unconference, we’ll get the audience to vote on if they want career questions, technology questions, or take their suggestions.
3-4 folks who have been running networks for many years and are willing to participate.
Michael W Lucas has been on Unix since the late 80s and a network administrator since 1995. He’s perfectly happy if someone else wants to moderate this panel.
