Modern applications demand more than simple keyword matching. In this session, we’ll walk through how Bleve (an open-source full-text and vector search library) powers Couchbase’s Search service.

We’ll go in depth into how hybrid search works through fusion algorithms such as RRF and RSF.

Takeaways

Attendees will learn how to leverage hybrid search to improve their retrieval pipelines and RAG applications, and how they might be able to tune them.

Bio

Gautham Krithiwas is a Software Engineer on the Search team at Couchbase. He is passionate about all things related to search, from AI agents and embedding models to index architectures. He has contributed to the score fusion and GPU indexing capabilities in Bleve.
