This talk is about RIPE Atlas Project: http://atlas.ripe.net
There are presently over 9000 RIPE Atlas probes across 3000+ ASNs (IPv4) which gives a network for triggering tests like ping, trace, DNS lookup, etc from eyeball networks.
In this talk I would be covering basic understanding of how networks are connected globally, the “asymetric routing factor” as it comes due to the nature of interconnects, an overview of how RIPE Atlas project helps by looking a eyeball routing. Slides will cover basic understanding of the topic as well as RIPE Atlas CLI tools which can used for initiating measuments from a large number of active RIPE Atlas Probes across the world.
Anurag works at Global IP transit provider Hurricane Electric (AS6939). In his role at Hurricane Electric he works closely across the BGP routing, interconnection and optimation of routing. He is also involved with APNIC as community trainer and has taken workshop on MPLS, building IXPs etc.
