This session will focus on demonstrating how to the use Docker to provide a ‘Self-Serve’ platform for Database restore with zero dependency and a quicker turnaround.

Outline

How well do we handle database backUp/restore and how often are blocked on a DB restoration process.
Now, here using Docker we are providing a ‘Self-Serve Platform for Database backup/restore’ which is a faster and an efficient restore environment. Docker has been integrated with Postgres/Chef-solo/Python/Django/Nginx to achieve this. The Key points that will be covered in the session:

• Basic introduction of Docker

• Docker-python integration

• how chef-solo is being utilized here

• Tool performance

• Benifits of isolated/efficient environment provided by the tool
