PyCon, the gathering for the community using and developing the open-source Python programming language. This is the first year of the PyCon Pune where the community will meet for two days of talks and working on upstream projects in two days of dev sprint. CFP ends on 30th November AoE.

Writing pytest Plugins

During this talk , i would like to cover following topics

  1. Brief intro to pytest
  2. Pytest fixtures
  3. Pytest hooks
  4. Writing custom plugins to extend py.test
  5. Talking about example pytest plugins

Outline

This talk gives brief outline of Pytest, fixtures and explaining pytest hooks to modify a default behaviour and writing plugins for pytest to expand or add additional features. In this talk there will be different example scenarios for explaining hooks and need for writing a pytest plugin.

Also i will talk about some example plugins like pytest-multihost, pytest-modifyjunit.
