The One Vote project organized and hosted a conversation on Twitter Spaces about the announcements around remote voting machines. The discussion focused on the need to thoroughly examine the challenges already listed by the ECI in the press note as well as any additional challenges which will come about and the urgency of expanding the participants in the consultative process so as to make it more inclusive.

The One Vote project has highlighted that changes to electoral processes and workflows need to be reviewed from the perspective of how they impact integrity of elections and thus ultimately the democratic setup. It is necessary and required to keep aside the design, development and demonstration of technology implementations until the critical issues which are intended to be addressed through the inclusion of new technology are extensively discussed.

If you would want to highlight your concerns or remarks you can do so at the document available here The remarks and comments in this document would become part of the feedback to the ECI.

The project has another discussion scheduled for 16-Jan-2023 - more details are available here
