Submitted Jun 5, 2024

Abstract

In a metric driven digital world not only is observability important but being able to understand anomalies in data streams and being able to do correlations adds significant advantages to organisations. In this talk I discuss how how we went about building this with PerceptInsight processing over 500 million events/day and how different organisations are leveraging it to their benefit.

Talk details

  1. An introduction to anomaly detection
  2. Types of models and which one to choose
  3. Understanding progressions
  4. Universal sensitivity scalars and hyper parameter optimisations

Usecases and Impact

  1. Correlation analysis

  2. Fraud detection

  3. Inventory management

  4. Campaign management
