Hello Fifth Ellies, we wanted to know why you would recommend FifthEl to people, and why you are a part of this community? Share below, and with your consent we will share some of these on our socials.
That was an awesome session by Harshad on quantization of LLMs. Very approachable gyaan but so insightful!
You have one via your Rootconf+Hasgeek early bird membership. The UI is a bit behind, sorry!
I love the idea of a membership and very happy to be part of this community where I've learnt a lot over the years. Given that I'm not based in India right now I don't think I will be able to attend the in-person event. I know that the membership is about more than the conference but knowing that a livestream or recordings will be made available gives me assurance that I can still catch-up on interesting talks.
Thanks, Sidharth. This is the path – online first and at a regular cadence, with in-person events as a supplement for catching up at.
Hi,
Could you please specify any terms governing submissions, particularly with respect to copyrights, publication, and ownership?
Hi Saptarshi,
The submission belongs to you, and only you can edit it. You can also delete it if you change your mind.
Submissions are visible publicly for others to view and comment on, and for conference editors to make a decision on. Submissions are not republished elsewhere.
Should the submission be accepted, the editors may produce their own description, suitable for the overall flow of the schedule. This will most likely be a derived work, but will be a separate document visible via the schedule, and will link back to your submission.
The producer, Hasgeek, will need you to sign a speaker release form authorising a video recording, typically published on Vimeo or YouTube. These platforms recognise Hasgeek as the video's copyright owner, so the release form represents your authorisation for your content to appear in the video.
Hasgeek's policy was to publish videos under a Creative Commons license, but this year there is a change. The Fifth Elephant is no longer financially supported by tickets to an in-person event, but by annual memberships. The editors may therefore stagger release to members first, and then to the general public.
Thanks Kiran @jace for the clarification. I will reach out if there are any futher queries
Hi
Was wondering if we could do shared presentations and present as a team for the Speaker opportunities?
Make your submission. The editors will review and respond. Usually, it's not more than two people per talk.
