Abstract:
LlamaIndex is a powerful framework that acts as a central interface between Language Model Libraries (LLMs) and external data. In this talk, we will dive into the reasons behind the development of LlamaIndex and explore its various basic building blocks/ components. We will discuss the different abstractions within llamaindex - indexes, retrievers, response synthesis, query engines. We will discuss how they can be used as decoupled components, or used together as part of a holistic system.
Throughout the talk, we will showcase the diverse use cases that can be built using LlamaIndex, demonstrating its flexibility and applicability in various domains. We will also delve into intriguing real-world applications that have been developed leveraging the power of LlamaIndex.
By the end of the session, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of LlamaIndex, its fundamental components, and the potential it holds for enhancing the capabilities of language models. They will leave inspired and equipped with the knowledge to leverage LlamaIndex to tackle complex information retrieval and synthesis tasks in their own projects.
