In this session, we will look at how we can build mobile applications leveraging the power of the cloud. Using standard development platforms like Eclipse or Visual Studio, we see how we can add additional capabilities like authentication, notifications and offline support to our applications easily. We then take a look at deploying and monitoring these applications on the cloud and configuring our applications to scale on demand to reach a global audience.

Speaker bio

Praveen Srivatsa is a veteran in the software industry who has been in the software engineering field since 1994. He has worked with enterprises like CITIL (now Oracle Financials), ADITI

Technologies and Orbit-e Consulting. He started off on his own in 2004 and offered training and consulting on Microsoft technologies. Praveen is recognized by Microsoft as a Regional Director (one of about 140 worldwide, who are external experts whose opinions are valued by Microsoft) since 1999. He was also recognized as a Most Valued Professional (in recognition of his contributions to the community) between 2006 and 2012. He is on the iNETA speaker bureau and has delivered technology sessions at various events worldwide including at Microsoft events like TechEd, DevDays, Virtual TechDays and product launch events. His sessions are highly rated and well attended. His session at TechED, Atlanta on moving a 100TB application from Oracle to SQL is on Channel9. Praveen also plays the role of a consulting CTO and Chief Architect for a few software companies.
