Speaker bio

Kingsley Jegan Joseph is a passionate startup enthusiast and the founder of PetalFlame, a startup that’s reinventing smartphones for emerging markets. Over his 13 years of experience in the software industry, he has launched & managed multiple million-dollar-plus technology products, especially during the last 8 years, when Kingsley played pioneering roles at salesforce.com (CRM & SaaS Platform) and Digital Chocolate (social & mobile gaming) in Silicon Valley. While at salesforce.com, Kingsley created the IdeaExchange (now Salesforce Ideas), which won several honors including the Forrester Groundswell Award, a Webby nomination, several patents and created the category of social CRM.

Kingsley has spoken at events like O’Reilly’s Web 2.0 Expo, Communities Exchange and Facebook’s Developer Garage. He is the lead organizer for Geeks on a Plane, a cultural exchange program for entrepreneurs and investors, which is visiting India for the first time in 2011. He has a Masters in Information Systems from Indiana University and a Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
