Demystifying the technology behind desktop fabrication and prototyping

Outline

Workshop of DIY CNC Router (3hrs)

  1. Use Gcode to move the x,y,z axis.
  2. Overview of materials and milling bits.
  3. Create a simple design to carve using Easel.
  4. Go through the Gcode.
  5. Start carving / cutting.

Requirements

Bring your laptop and 2D/3D design files that you may want to explore using a CNC Router.
