Can we get LLMs to do all the work in creating data visualizations? How will this play out in the future?
In this session, I’ll share how I’ve been using large language models (LLMs) to both build and interpret visual data stories through some examples. Here are a couple (but the sessions is months away and everything would’ve changed by then):

Then we’ll zoom out into the broader trends. What’s the intersection of data, design, AI and code? How can we leverage LLMs for design strategies, insight generation, prototyping, and creating new visual art forms? How might this evolve?
If you’re a data storyteller, designer, or a developer, this session will spark ideas on how to discover deeper insights from data and automate your data storytelling process using LLMs via real-life techniques.
Anand is an LLM psychologist at Straive. (It’s not an official title. He just calls himself that.) He co-founded Gramener, a data science company that narrates visual data stories, which Straive acquired. He has hand-transcribed every Calvin & Hobbes strip ever and dreams of watching every film on the IMDb Top 250.
