To talk of alternate distribution platform for films like VOD/Online & how the menace of piracy can be countered,in the process meeting demands of the viewer.

Outline

The session will try to throw light on where we are currently with respect to legal streaming of movies online, how this can be a viable platform for films of all kinds. What are the challenges faced including piracy and how to counter the same. What is the way forward in this area?

Pradeep Somu is an alumnus of ISB-Hyderabad and the co-founder & CEO of Hero Talkies (www.herotalkies.com), an ad-supported subscription based movie website that streams original contents of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies. Hero Talkies is one of the 2 popular players in the legal movie streaming space especially for Tamil Cinema with a library of more than 500 films so far.
