Most web apps never see a tenth of the load that befalls a social media app or the spikes that a streaming service for IPL encounters.
However, we can find many teams using the same tools for their app with a (comparatively) tiny footfall. Is that like bringing a bazooka to swat a mosquito?

Lets walk through some prudent tools and time tested practices that can help sanitize the web application space reducing the complexity we have to deal with in the name of scale that may never come.
