Ente (“mine” in Malayalam) is a Free and Open Source, E2EE, privacy-first alternative to Google Photos. The heart of Ente is Museum - the server program built in Golang which does everything to save your photos from the Big Tech.
In this talk, Mangesh will focus on explaining the following things:
Mangesh also intends to cover the privacy aspects by showing one of Ente’s Weekend projects. They see your photos and how Big Tech is continously monitoring a person’s surrounding (location), emotions and data with the help of AI.
Mangesh is a 2nd year B.Tech Student from Solapur, Maharashtra. Mangesh joined Ente three months ago as an engineer and technical support, primarily for the self-hosting community. Mangesh has previously worked for FOSS United Foundation for a period of one year, contributing bits and pieces to the website, self-hosting OSS and community.
Mangesh likes reading, writing and in my free time, I try to write some blogs and very recently poems.
