Abstract

In this session we look at Kubernetes and how we can manage cloud scale applications using kubernetes. This talk I would share my experiences in migrating applications to kubernetes in the cloud, including lessons learnt and best practices. I will also talk about (with demos) development tool chains, security considerations, scaling and deployment strategies including canary deployments.

  • Key Areas in context of real life application migrations to kubernetes clusters
  • Container Images
  • Service Discovery

Speaker bio

Maninderjit Bindra (Mani) is a Software Engineer in the CSE team at Microsoft. In his current role he helps partners, customers and developers in building scalable and resilient solutions on the Microsoft cloud platform. He has over 17 years of industry experience and has designed and implemented several high volume, business critical applications and APIs.
