माहवारी स्वास्थ्य भारत दर्शन - एपिसोड 6: भारत दर्शन

जतन संस्थान यह वेबिनार श्रृंखला (एक एपिसोड, प्रत्येक शनिवार को) के माध्यम से श्रोताओं को भारत के विभिन्न हिस्सों से माहवारी स्वास्थ्य और प्रबंधन सम्बंधित मुद्दों पर तुलनात्मक समझ देने का प्रयास है. वहां की जाति, लिंग, वर्ग और अन्य पहचानों की जटिलताओं का माहवारी प्रबंधन के अनुभवों पर असर समझने के साथ-साथ यह वेबिनार अनेक क्षेत्रों की सामुदायिक आवाज़ों (लाभार्थियों) को सुनने और डॉक्यूमेंट करने, माहवारी स्वास्थ्य से जुड़ी भ्रांतियों, प्रथाओं, दृष्टिकोणों और धारणाओं को समझने का एक प्रयास है.

ये वेबिनार श्रृंखला अलग-अलग नज़रिए एवं क्षेत्रीय परिपेक्ष्य में, समुदाय या गाँवों के माहवारी से जुड़े अनुभवों और प्रयोगों को सुनने और सहेजने की कोशिश है. इस वेबिनर श्रंखला के माध्यम से वेबिनार के अंत में माहवारी स्वास्थ्य पर काम कर रहे व्यक्ति/संस्थाएं/सरकार के लिए जानकारियों और रणनीतियों का भण्डार तैयार होगा.
वेबिनार से मिलने वाली जानकारी और समझ, उन सभी साथियों के लिए बहुमूल्य (उपयोगी) होगी, जो माहवारी के मुद्दे पर काम कर रहे हैं.

जतन संस्थान के बारे में

जतन संस्थान, दक्षिण राजस्थान में काम जमीनी स्तर पर काम करने वाली एक स्वैच्छिक संस्था है जो सन 2000 के बाद से भारत में प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य सम्बन्धी मुद्दों, खास तौर पर माहवारी स्वास्थ्य और प्रबंधन में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रही है। जतन ने सन 2011 में “उगेर” कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की , “उगेर” का अर्थ “नई शुरुआत” है | ये शब्द दक्षिण राजस्थान की मेवाड़ी भाषा से लिया गया शब्द है | दरअसल “उगेर” माहवारी विषय पर “चुप्पी तोडो” और माहवारी स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक आंदोलन है। उगेर के एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्से के रूप में, जतन संस्थान माहवारी प्रबंधन में Reusable/ पुन: इस्तेमाल होने वाले, सूती कपड़े के सैनिटरी नैपकिन के प्रयोग को बढ़ावा दे रहा है जिसे लम्बे समय तक सुरक्षित रूप से इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। माहवारी पर शिक्षित और जागरूक करने, अनुसंधान और पैरवी करने, संचार के साधन विकसित करने और टिकाऊ उत्पादों के उत्पादन का समर्थन करने के लिए सी.एस.आर, सरकार और एन.जी.ओ. के साथ जतन संस्थान भागीदारी कर रही है।पिछले कुछ वर्षों में जतन ने विभिन्न राज्य की सरकारों, आई.आई.टी .मद्रास, टाटा ट्रस्ट, गूगल, हिंदुजा ग्लोबल सॉल्यूशंस, स्पार्क मिंडा, एमएचएआई और अन्य के साथ भागीदारी / सहयोग किया है।

Menstrual Health Bharat Darshan - Episode 6: Bharat Darshan

Jatan Sansthan has launched webinar series (1 episode each Saturday) to cover work that has been done in the Menstrual Health space. The Webinar Episodes will give listeners a comparative understanding across states, give insights into complexities of caste, gender, class and other identities that shape menstruation experiences. This is an effort to hear and document community voices (beneficiaries), capture practices, attitudes and perceptions around menstruation, understand interventions efforts through a field lens.

In this episode:

**Hear voices from NERCOMP (Meghalaya) and MITU Foundation (Karnataka).
Listen to Rajasi Kulkarni Diwakar on ‘Tug Of War: Conflicts within the Menstrual Space’ and
Jatan team members speaking on ‘Evolutionary Aspects to Menstruation’

The Webinar Episodes are an effort to hear and document different perspectives and community voices and practices around menstruation - through a field lens. The outcome will be a repository for those working in the menstrual space. The documentation will be made available on the Jatan Website - http://jatansansthan.org/menstrual-health-webinar-series/ and other social media forums of Jatan Sansthan.

Jatan Sansthan, a grassroot NGO working in South Rajasthan - has been at the forefront, pioneering interventions around Menstrual Health and Management in India since 2000. Jatan’s Project Uger, (“Uger” meaning “New beginnings” in the Mewari language of South Rajasthan) is a movement that focusses on conversations and action around menstruation and its sustainable management. As a part of Project Uger, Jatan has been promoting biodegradable, reusable, cloth sanitary napkins called Uger Pads. Training programmes, Research, Advocacy, Design of communication products are our core areas of work. In the past few years Jatan has partnered/collaborated with various State Governments, IIT Madras, Tata Trust, Google, Hinduja Global Solutions, Spark Minda, MHAI and others.
