Submitted May 9, 2021

We will discuss various considerations for electronic voting and digital electoral rolls and their compliance with democracy principles. In particular, we will discuss issues related to election technology and public trust, and analyse the recommendations of the German Constitutional Court and the recent report of the National Academies of the Sciences, Engineering and Medicine of the USA on the usage of election technology.
