Core Banking Systems Infrastructure

Over the past 15 years, the Banking system in India has been transformed through the implementation of Core Banking application software. This lecture attempts to give the audience a sense for the application topology within the Banks with specific focus on payments and remittances.

Outline

Banks have adopted a “best of breed” approach to automating their core banking processing. This has resulted in a number of vendor developed and internally developed applications integrated with each other using on-line transaction interfaces or a batch data interfaces.
The session is aiming to deconstruct these “Core Banking Systems” and help the audience understand the complexity of managing change in these applications.

Speaker bio

15 years experience implementing Core Banking systems in the emerging geographies. Was part of the design and architecture team which implemented the core systems at the State Bank of India.
