Deep Dive Angular Components

Submitted Apr 24, 2018

While components are the backbone of all Angular applications, some developers stick to the obvious features of components while using it. This talk will go beyond the basics and talk about features such as:

• Content projection
• @ViewChild and @ViewChildren
• @ContentChild and @ContentChildren
• @ViewInit and @ContentInit life cycle hooks
• ViewContainerRef
• Dynamic component creation using ComponentFactoryResolver

There are scenarios when a component should be loaded or created dynamically, properties or events of child components should be read / write inside parent components class etc. A good understanding of above concepts will help in writing robust, high performance, and scalable Angular application.
This live coding based talk will help in simplifying advanced component concepts of Angular. At the end of talk, audience will have fare understanding of component advanced features and scenarios in which it should be used. This talk is for every intermediate level Angular developer.
