My talk aims to spread the idea of Open Education and Open Educational Resources by drawing a parallel between Open Education and FOSS.

Speaker bio

I’m an engineering student who loves teaching. But I don’t like the way the Indian education system is setup. I’ve been learning about the faults of the educational system and alternative systems that can replace the current system. I was shown the FOSS way by an online community for FOSS advocacy in Tech education - BEARly (https://t.me/BEARlyDev) and I have been an active admin of the online community since. (Last October, I officially became a contributor to one of my favorite projects - NodeJS; #HumbleBrag). All this led me to discover the Open Education philosophy and I’ve been researching on it ever since.
