Explain concepts of end to end encryption (omemo, gpg), decentralized messaging (email, xmpp, diaspora) and guide/mentor those interested to hack on this area.

Outline

We have tamed ourselves to being just end users evaluating apps/services on their features, favouring convenience over freedom. Its time to wake up from being zombies and realize our power to shape our world by making Free Software convenient.

Requirements

Familiarity with at lest one programming language or a power user of GNU/Linux (*nix) or willingness to learn

A Debian Developer and podmin (diaspora service provider) at poddery.com & diasp.in. I maintain diaspora and gitlab (ruby on rails apps) in debian. I’m keen to mentor students to contribute to Free Software.
