FOSSMeet’25 celebrates the 20th anniversary of FOSSMeet, NIT Calicut’s flagship event dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging the use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Since its inception, FOSSMeet has served as a unique platform for both enthusiasts and professionals to explore, learn, and collaborate on FOSS technologies. This year’s event will feature a diverse range of workshops, talks, discussions, and hands-on activities, continuing its legacy of fostering innovation and community engagement.

Our call for proposals is open, inviting a broad spectrum of content formats: lectures, demos, tutorials, workshops, and discussions. We have slots for both experienced professionals and bright student minds.

But this isn’t your run-of-the-mill event; it’s where innovation intersects with inspiration. We’re not just looking for speakers; we’re on the hunt for visionaries. If you’ve got a fresh take on open source or a unique viewpoint, we want to hear your story.

While we applaud your creative flair, let’s ensure it orbits within the open-source universe. Proposals should revolve around open-source software, development, or related fields. While we value diversity, your topic should connect with the audience. Aim for the sweet spot—engaging yet comprehensible, unique but not excessively obscure. And here’s the deal: We won’t be counting upvotes in our selection process.
