Call for Workshop Submissions: The Fifth Elephant – Winter Edition

The Fifth Elephant – Winter Edition is now accepting workshop proposals from practitioners, researchers, and builders at the frontier of data and AI.

We’re interested in deeply technical, hands-on sessions that reflect where the data and AI community is heading: LLMs in production, intelligent systems, hybrid workflows, and scalable data tooling.

If you’re building tools, designing new interfaces between humans and data, or pushing LLMs beyond chat — we want to hear from you.

We’re curating 3 hour workshops that are hands-on, practical, and rooted in real-world applications. Some themes we’re particularly excited about:

LLMs are redefining how we access and work with data. We’re looking for workshops that explore:

Using LLMs to generate visualizations from raw or structured data
Conversational data exploration via tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom wrappers
Building automated data analysts that sit on top of internal data systems
Architecting systems where LLMs act as controllers or agents for data pipelines

🔗 Connecting Context with Embeddings and Knowledge Graphs

Constructing domain-specific knowledge graphs with embeddings to enrich LLM responses
Building and serving vector search layers for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Embedding pipelines, chunking strategies, and memory management in production LLM applications

🏗️ Building AI-Native Data Infrastructure

Architectures for AI-first data platforms
Making data warehouse queries LLM-native (SQL-to-NL and vice versa)
Serving structured + unstructured data to AI systems at scale
Storing, versioning, and retrieving data for intelligent agents

🤖 AI-Driven Decision Systems

Designing systems where LLMs support decision-making (in operations, finance, logistics, etc.)
Leveraging AI for experiment analysis, reporting, and anomaly detection
Prompt engineering + tool use for real-time or high-stakes environments
