We missed sending out an update about rescheduling yesterday’s paper discussion on LLMs in healthcare. Sincere apologies! We are biological humans and not AI bots. :) We truly regret the error and the inconvenience caused.

We have a bunch of updates regarding the monthly Papers sessions:

We have a new editorial team for the Papers activity - Yashodeep Deshmukh (presenter for April’s paper session), Kruti Chauhan (who has been active in assisting LlamaIndex workshops), and Shwetha Tanamala (senior ML engineer at Sanas). Simrat Hanspal will continue to participate as a reviewer and speaker scout.
A team of volunteers is assisting editorial work, promotions, and content - Harini Anand (upcoming presenter); and Harshita Kamani and Gagan Sharma, winners of Hack5 hackathon.
Monthly papers session will resume from August 2024. The LLMs in Healthcare paper will be rescheduled to August. The editors and volunteers have put together the following topics which will be added to the calendar for September and October and will be shortly updated. So keep an eye out!
The Papers activity will resume with the following format:

Those interested in presenting papers on the topics listed for the quarter can come forward with submitting a description and title for the paper.
Editors will interact with potential speakers and help them curate the content for the presentation.
Editors will also do a round of rehearsal with the presenter, before the actual session.
Presentations will be held online, on the second Thursday of each month.
Two specialists and one generalist will give feedback to the presenter at the online session.
The presenter will write and share a presentation summary, including reviewer feedback, after the presentation. This summary will be open for comments and interactions.

The aim of conducting these paper reading sessions is to accommodate interested folks to come, discuss, and understand technical research papers together.
