In the BFSI sector, organizations are under constant pressure to respond to market shifts, regulatory demands, and evolving customer expectations in real time. Event-driven architecture (EDA) offers a way forward by enabling systems to react to business events as they happen, decoupling producers and consumers, and fostering scalable, resilient, and extensible platforms. By moving from static, API-only integrations toward event streams, financial institutions can unlock faster decision-making, support new digital products, and improve customer experiences without rewriting their entire technology stack.

This talk explores practical approaches to scaling legacy BFSI systems into real-time platforms using event-driven paradigms. We’ll discuss patterns like event sourcing, CQRS, and streaming pipelines, along with strategies to balance reliability, compliance, and performance in highly regulated environments.
