Objective:
Understanding the Bluetooth API
Setting up a testing app that allows us to test Bluetooth modules designed by semiconductor industries for all the basic functionalities over Android Debug Bridge.
Description:
The trend says being connected is the new cool and as necessity is the mother of invention we came up with conept of IOTs. My motivation behind developing the app was to test how well a bluetooth chip performs its basic functionalities of scanning new devices, connecting with them and writing and reading data to and from the connected devices. This talk will be divided in two parts:
Warming up:
Here I will discuss about the bluetooth API and what are the basic functionalities that Bluetooth modules should perform
Cool part comes here:
Here i will discuss about the app that basically behaves as a service with very less or no UI and tests for those basic functionalities as will be discussed in the first part being completely triggered from the command prompt with the help of ADB commands sent to the app via USB.
