Conscious Clubbing

Submitted Dec 26, 2015

A sober perspective on why self propelled highs(as opposed to drugs) can (also) help one attain a more elevated sense of being.Especially when out partying and at festivals.

Outline

The idea was powered by my recent attendance of an Indian music festival - a huge number of attendees were only there to do drugs, apparently to escape the stresses of modern life. My sober self was immensely bored and deflated as I was out of sync with these on/off people.

As someone who has attended a few legendary festivals sober(burning man included) and experienced legitimate highs, I might have my two cents to share. Hopefully it will make people laugh and reflect.
