In this session, we’ll lay a solid foundation for data visualization, and quickly review concepts like similarity and closure. We’ll explain why you should probably not use pie charts, and we’ll give attendees a set of principles to help them guide their own visualizations. From there, we’ll dive deep into Excel, and learn how to create interactive visualizations that help solve the toughest data questions. We’ll create charts that are not included in Excel by using techniques that you might not have seen before. Students will walk away with a strong knowledge of visualization concepts, as well as how to implement them to their fullest in Excel.
