HTTP Live Streaming (also known as HLS) is an HTTP-based adaptive bitrate streaming communications protocol. It is a popular format used for streaming, allowing content to be delivered from HTTP servers via widely available HTTP based content delivery networks (CDNs) like AWS, Akamai and others.
The talk will give a brief introduction to HLS and HLS terminologies. We will then cover an introduction to HLS implementation I have been working on using GStreamer and written in Rust.
