DESCRIPTION:## About the round table\n**Cloud bills tell you what you owe.
FinOps should tell you why\, and what to do next.**\n\nThis round table e
xplores FinOps as an engineering discipline\, where infrastructure telemet
ry\, workload behavior\, and cloud economics come together to drive decisi
ons.\n\nWe’ll discuss hard questions practitioners actually face:\n* How
do you move from cost visibility to cost accountability and decision-maki
ng?\n* How do you correlate spend with utilization\, performance\, and eng
ineering trade-offs?\n* What signals\, benchmarks\, and heuristics help di
stinguish waste vs intentional scale?\n* How do you map infra consumption
to business outcomes—throughput\, users served\, bytes transferred\, rev
enue impact?\n* How do teams operationalize FinOps across engineering\, pl
atform\, and finance?\n\n**Expect war stories on cost anomalies\, unit eco
nomics\, noisy workloads\, capacity trade-offs\, and the real constraints
of running systems at scale.**\n\nThis is not a discussion about *“reduc
ing cloud costs.”* It is about treating spend as a first-class engineeri
ng signal\, and making better decisions because of it.\n\n**📍 This is a
n in-person round table. There will be no live stream. A summary of key in
sights may be shared after the session.**\n\n\n## Format\nA moderator-led
round table with a group of 20–25 participants\, designed for candid pee
r exchange\, practical lessons\, and discussion to take the learnings back
\, and apply at your workplace.\n\nThis round table will be conversational
in format\, not a presentation. Participants are expected to bring their
own context\, questions\, and experiences into the discussion.\n\n## Who s
hould participate\nIf you influence infrastructure decisions and live with
their cost implications\, this is for you:\n* Platform / SRE / infrastruc
ture engineers\n* Senior ICs and architects\n* FinOps and cloud optimizati
on practitioners\n* Engineering leaders balancing performance\, reliabilit
y and spend\n\nIf you’ve ever looked at a cloud bill and thought *someth
ing is off\, but I can’t prove where* — this discussion is for you.\n\
