Abstract

This talk features a small tale of device security being negatively affected for dozens of thousands of users due to improperly configured hardware being issued to unsuspecting customers.

Speaker bio

Karan Saini works as a Product Support Engineer with HasGeek, and was previously a Programme Officer at the Centre for Internet and Society, where he performed research on cyber security from academic and policy perspectives. Karan is also an active practitioner of responsible vulnerability disclosure, and has reported security bugs to organizations such as the Election Commission of India and the United States Department of Defense, among others.
